Republican Abby Lundy served as a Republican borough councilwoman in New Canaan, Connecticut, since she was first elected in 2016.

Lundy resigned after her arrest in Connecticut in connection with an embezzlement scheme involving a nonprofit children's organization.

Lundy turned herself in and was arrested by police in New Canaan.
